First ITM at 84 years old

At the Canadian stop of the WSOP Super Circuit at Playground, 84-year-old local resident Richard Leonardo made it through the bubble in the Mini Main Event with a CA$500 buy-in and locked up a spot in the money.
Leonardo has been playing poker for 21 years, but throughout his entire career he had never managed to score an ITM in World Series events. It's also known that Richard is the longest-serving firefighter in Montreal's history, having fought fires until the age of 66.
The Mini Main Event has a prize pool of CA$500,000. Having broken into the money, Richard is now continuing the fight in Day 2 for CA$80,000 and a gold ring.
