Master the basics of poker, work through the key strategies, and lock in your knowledge in a modern trainer. The course is made for those who want to confidently start their path in poker.

Who this course is for

For beginners

You've never played poker but want to figure it out and start earning

We offer a safe start: we'll give you a solid base, explain the logic of the game, teach you to think like a pro, and apply winning strategies from your very first sessions. All step by step, in plain language.

For amateurs

You play for fun and are thinking about how to monetize the hobby

We'll help you turn poker from entertainment into a source of income. We'll show you how to combine play with work sensibly, how much time to spend on learning, and most importantly — how to get into the money and stop playing blind.

For regulars

You're no longer a beginner, but there's no stability or growth

We'll close the theoretical gaps, build playing discipline, and show you what a professional work ethic is. You'll get a chance to make it into the fund's team — with support and an infinite bankroll.

Poker trainer: learn to play safely

We built our own poker trainer with dozens of tasks and real situations. Master the basic game situations as in a real hand, but without the losses.

The main actions at the poker table

Learn to make the right decisions and interact effectively with other players.

Tournament strategies

Master profitable playing strategies for the different stages of poker tournaments.

Short-stack play

Learn to extract the most value even with a small stack.

Find out what types of players there are in poker and how to adjust your game against each of them.

Final-table strategy and ICM

Learn how to make the right decisions in key hands in the late stages of tournaments and at the final table.

Poker math

Get to grips with poker calculations and learn to make the most profitable decisions.

Taking the course doesn't oblige you to join the fund or sign any contracts — you can study for yourself.

How the poker training works

The course is built in stages — from the most basic things to advanced mathematical concepts of the game. You won't have to guess what to learn or where to start: we'll walk you through it step by step.

You'll get access to structured learning — from the rules of the game and hand rankings to advanced strategies and complex in-game calculations. 30 video lessons, poker cheat sheets, and learning materials.

After every topic you complete, you'll be dropped into specially created situations to practice your skills and master strategy. 1000+ tasks will get your in-game skills practically ready for winning play at the tables.

You'll take an exam that consists of 2 parts: a theory test and tasks in the trainer. After successfully finishing the training, you'll receive a certificate and an invitation to the FunFarm school.

You always have the «write to us» option. Our team accompanies you at every stage so you understand the training and figure out whether poker can become your thing.

FAQ

Yes. FF Start is the first tier of training on the FirstFund professional poker education platform, and it really is free.

Your task on FF Start is to learn the basic playing strategy and practice it in the trainer. If you successfully complete the trainer, we’ll be glad to offer you the next step — a full poker career with no investment of your own in FunFarm.

As a fund, we’re looking for players who are ready to make poker their profession. We understand that this is a serious decision and that it should be approached deliberately. That’s exactly why our training is open to everyone and available for free.

You can take FF Start:

  • to improve your game for yourself and games with friends;
  • or to take the first step toward a professional career together with FunFarm and FirstFund.
First and foremost, the course is designed for beginners. You'll start from the very beginning — from the rules and hand rankings to basic strategy and the psychology of the game. All the materials are presented sequentially, in a clear form — with examples and tasks in the trainer to lock it in.
The course can be completed in 1–2 weeks: 30 video lessons of 5 minutes each, with a 10-minute trainer for every lesson. But it all depends on your desire and drive: if you finish the course in 1–2 days, we'll only be glad.
After successfully passing the exam, you'll need to go through identity verification and sign a contract with the fund to start your career going forward
There's no ceiling in poker. Depending on the ABI you play, your expectation will be from $300 to $3000+ per month. It all depends on involvement and discipline. And a little on luck.
After the entrance test, we'll assign you a coach-mentor who will be in touch with you 24/7. In addition, you'll get access to a Discord community where you can ask questions, review hands, get support from other players, and chat with the project's coaches.
No problem — you can retake it. You can also go back to the theory, work on your weak spots, and try again. The course was created not to grade you but to prepare you — the goal is for you to actually start playing deliberately.
The minimum recommended time is 2 hours a day. If you manage less, the training may take longer, but you can still complete the course. The main thing is to keep it regular and make it to the finish.
Yes. At the start, about 2 hours a day is enough to study theory and practice your playing skills in the trainer's practical tasks after each topic. Later, when you start playing tournaments, you'll need more time. But many players combine work and poker until they reach a stable result and decide to change profession.
