RomeOpro stopped one step short of a best cash in the marathon
Roman "RomeOpro" Romanovsky continues his journey from $10,000 to $10,000,000. On day 141 of the marathon, the Ukrainian regular came very close to winning the $1500 Thursday Throwdown HR with progressive bounties.

The tournament drew 233 entries, and RomeOpro made it to heads-up against Argentina's Marco Perez. In the decisive hand, Perez shoved on the turn 3♠️J♠️5♥️4♥️ for 50.9 BB with Q♥️8♥️, and Romanovsky called with Q♣️J♦️. However, the Ukrainian's top pair didn't hold, as the 3♥️ on the river completed his opponent's flush.

RomeOpro took $33,310 for second place plus $8,531 in bounties. Perez, meanwhile, collected $68,595 for the win plus $43,815 in bounties. This tournament's top prize would have helped Romanovsky set a new best cash in the marathon. So far, his best result remains $57,800 from the May 11 session. Note that in the $1500 Thursday Throwdown HR, RomeOpro sold off 72% of his action.

Romanovsky finished the 141st session up $7,777. The player's total bankroll after 30,183 tournaments grew from $301,693 to $309,470.
